How to Save Others’ Instagram Stories

Instagram Stories is a social media platform that has become indispensable to many of us. We could create, surprise, experiment, and astound with stories. Truly saying, we might want to save some stories posted by friends and relatives in the archive, but keep in mind that the contents of users’ stories may include personal information, so it’s best to contact the source for permission before keeping them in your collection

Screenshots are a great way to save Instagram Stories.

To save other people’s Instagram stories, the first approach to consider is to take a screenshot of the screen. As much as the store does not incorporate videos, this is an efficient strategy.

You can do this with the built-in capabilities on Android and iOS.

To click screenshot on Android, follow these steps:

  • Press the Volume Minus (-) key and main key at the same time.
  • Alternatively, if this key combo does not enable you to capture a screenshot, simultaneously press the Volume minus key (-) and Home key.

To click screenshot on an iPhone with Face ID, follow these steps:

  • simultaneously press right side key and volume up key (+)
  • On an iPhone, press the Home button and sleep/wake button.

Screen recording can be also used to save Instagram Stories. If the story includes video, it can be stored by using the device’s default functionality to make a screen recording on Android and iOS.

With a HUAWEI smartphone, for example, on Android:

  • Make use of the right Record Screen tool
  • Start it by pressing the Volume Up and Power Off keys together.
  • or tap “Record Screen” button in the Notification Center to activate it.

After that, after some time has passed:

  • Everything that appears on our smartphone’s screen will be recorded
  • open the Instagram app to record the story we want to save
  • You could also stop recording the screen at any time by clicking the Stop button at the top.

You can use the default capability on the iPhone, called Screen Recording, which is accessible on iOS 11 and later.

After you’ve double-checked that the menu item in question is enabled:

  • Control Center> Screen Recording (Settings> Control Center> Screen Recording),
  • Open the iOS Control Center by sliding from the top right hand corner of an iPhone with Face ID from top to bottom.
  • or, on an iPhone with a physical Home button, by sliding from the bottom to top starting from the center.
  • Hold down the Rec key.

After a brief countdown, the recording will begin:

  • open the Instagram application
  • see the tale of our interest in order to save it by capturing a video of what is shown on your device’s screen
  • To stop recording the screen, tap the Stop item on the red indicator at the top.
